Trend Alert: Statement Jewelry

A trend that I absolutely adore is statement jewelry. This trend isn't new and has been around for a few seasons, but I am happy it has stayed. I love statement jewelry because it's the easiest way to dress an outfit up and who doesn't love wearing bright, pretty jewels. I love wearing a plain peplum top and adding a statement necklace or wearing a plain sweater with some blinged out earrings.  Today I have found some inexpensive but cute statement jewelry that caught my eye.

How I Styled: A Windowpane Dress

The mustaches have been shaved, the air is chiller, and there's some holiday cheer in the atmosphere! Welcome December! It's been very cold and the weather hasn't been cooperating for some outfit photos. Have no fear, yesterday I was able to suffer through the cold and get some pictures taken.  Hopefully December will be better than November!

I bought this dress on my trip and absolutely love it. The window pane look is a trend I have really been enjoying. Taylor Swift has even been spotted wearing a window pane dress! I wore this look to the Millrats Basketball Game and some drinks with friends. Black and White with a bold lip are my go to colors for this season.

Pink Ombre

Happy First of the month! I am very happy it is November. I had a very rough October with some unforunate events, so I am very excited for November to be here! Lot's of exciting this will be going on this month.  Today's outfit is what I wore to a luncheon for the CCRW. I bought these killer pumps at Manchester Shoe Salon's amazing sale a few months ago and cannot believe i'm only unveiling them to my readers now!

Summertime Sadness

There's nothing I like more in summer than wearing a cute dress. This is one of the favourite summer dresses. I received it last year as an Easter gift and though I have had it for many months I never managed to photograph it. Finally this summer while wearing it to work it was finally photographed. Sorry dress for keeping you hidden for so long.

My Summer Staples: Crop Tops and High Waisted Shorts

ThThis summer two of my favourite trends were crop tops and high waisted shorts. I could not get enough of these two. Whenever I wasn't in work appropiate clothes I at least had on either a crop top or a pair of high waisted shorts. In these post I am wearing my favourite crop top which I purchased from Envy using my gift certificate from my goody bag from the ECFB Conference. With the end of summer looming on, I am really going to miss my crop top.

Purple Ombre Nails

Hi Everyone,

Lately i've fallen in love with the new ombre nail trend. This look has been seen on Lauren Conrad and many other bloggers. I was inspired by Carlin from Superficial Girls who also did a post on Ombre nails. Since purple is my favourite color and I have lots of purple nail polishes I decided I was going to try purple ombre nails.

The colors I chose in order were OPI Ink, Sally Hansen Salon in Mulberry Wine, L.A. Colors Color Craze in Nuclear Energy, OPI's Parlez-Vous OPI? and Joe Fresh's Faded Violet. Together these colors were perfect for creating perfect purple ombre nails. I really enjoyed this nail look and I can't wait to experiment with some other nail colors.

New Look Wishlist

Today I was browsing the New Look website and was gushing over so many of the items. Everything seemed to be perfect for spring and summer. For those who do not know New Look is a clothing chain based in the United Kingdom but with stores in Belgium, France, UAE, Ireland, Netherlands, Malta and Singapore. They ship to 120 countries around the world with reasonable shipping costs. When I visited London, New Look was one of the stores I was super excited about.

I'm in love with blush colored things right now so it was only natural that the dress, shorts,sandals and skirt caught me eye. I really like this blush colored dress because it reminds me of the dress Victoria Beckham wore to the royal wedding. I liked the shorts because they are a perfect length and add a girly flair with a bow. Wedge sandals are a huge trend for the summer and these ones totally remind me of the Sam Edelman wedges except for a much lower price. Midi skirts are very in for spring and summer along with blush colors.
The floral clutch was so cute I couldn't resist. It's the perfect clutch for a girly touch and to wear with your cutest sundress.
The white and blue striped dress fits in perfectly with the stripes trend. I'd love to wear with a cute pair of wedges for a day out.
This maxi dress totally reminds of the Prada dress that has been making the rounds at award shows and magazine covers. Perfect low budget option for the beautiful Prada color blocked dress.

I apologize for my lack of blogging lately. It is exam season at school, so I have been busy studying and writing papers. I have managed to get in a little shopping. I thought I would share some of my recent purchases with my readers.

Lace Shorts from Silver Daisy Designs: I love the lace short trend. I cannot wait to wear these as a casual or dressed up look.


I really liked this bag. It looks very Mulberry inspired. I love the cream and navy together!


I fell in love with this bodycon dress when I saw it. I loved the color and it will look great with my skin tone when I get my summer tan. Bandage dresses are perfect for a night out.


I fell in love with the first Lady Gaga Viva Glam lipstick but I think I love the Viva Glam II even more. This is the perfect nude lipstick. It also goes to a great cause!
