Fashion Inspired by Kanye West's Runaway

On October 23rd Kanye West premiered his new short film Runaway.
While the acting was cheesy in some parts I really enjoyed it.
I really liked the filming effect used (not sure what it's called but if you know please let me know), some of the songs used and the symbolism. Overall I thought Kanye West and the gorgeous Selita Ebanks did a great job. After watching the film I was inspired by some of the scenes so I thought why not make a blog post about it. Here are some of the scenes that inspired me:

One of my favourite scenes was the ballet performance scene. The ballerina trend is quite popular right now. Many designers and stores have been carrying tutu-like mesh skirts and bodysuits. These are some pieces inspired by the Ballet Scene

Juicy Couture Ruffle Bodysuit

Kanye has a true passion for fashion. He is always pushing the boundaries with his choice of clothing and adores high fashion. In the video he kept it classy by wearing a bow-tie, a black and white tuxedo jacket and loafers. Though the pieces were quite simple they worked in his benefit and fitted in with the visuals of the film.

Selita Ebanks played an excellent phoenix. She looked gorgeous. I must give props to the make-up artist who did a phenomenal job. Though Selita was not heavily clothed, she did provide some outfit inspiration. Feathers are quite heavily in so I found some pieces that reminded me of the phoenix.

In case you haven't watched the video you can watch it now!
