Casual Day at Work

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the blogging delay I have been super busy, but I did manage to film a new review of my latest Ipsy bag on youtube so be sure to check that out! I apologize for the quality of today's pictures. I'm not sure if my camera is on the fritz or what, but my photo editing skills could not even correct this horrible glare. Anyway, I wore this outfit to a casual day at work and to a hockey Game I attended with my mentoring group. Yesterday it felt like summer returned, so I embraced the warm weather and dug out the sandals.

Black, White and Fabulous

Black and White is my favourite color combination. No matter the season it is, you can't go wrong. I chose this outfit to wear work.  Even though peplum has been deemed "out" I can't bear to give up my peplum tops. Peplum fits my body type and it's perfect for a trendy work appropiate outfit. I paired this black top with one this super cute thumbprint skirt. For a pop of color I wore neon accessories.  I never wear these shoes enough, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity.

Sneaker Love

After a week of wearing heels to work there is nothing more relaxing than taking it easy on a Friday night and trading in the heels for a pair of sneakers. I recently got these Superga sneakers on my trip and they have made a stylish substitution for heels. Many bloggers like The Blonde Salad and Man Repeller have even teamed up with Superga to create some ultra trendy sneakers.  As soon as I saw spotted these sneaks, I knew I needed to have them. With the autumn chill in the air I decided to dress weather appropriate for once and wear my favourite sweater. This was a comfortable yet trendy outfit for running some errands.

NFL Season for the Stylish One

NFL Season is officially upon us. Sundays have turned into football, beer, snacks and more football. To be honest, I am not  huge football fan, I prefer to watch soccer. However, sometimes I can be spotted at the bar on a Sunday enjoying a slider and a drink special, watching the game with some football fans.  I was recently challenged by  Fanatics to put a fashionable spin on a gameday outfit. I was up for the challenge, who says fashion and football can't mix? For this challenge I wanted a feminine but casual game day look. A chose a jersey along with navy, white and silver to represent the Cowboys.  As a child my Dad embedded in my mind, that Dallas is the team I should be cheering for. Time to make my Dad proud.

All You Need is a New Dress

There's nothing like wearing a brand new dress for the first time. I wanted to beat the Monday blues, so I decided to wear my new dress I bought from Charlotte Russe on my trip.  I love Charlotte Russe; Everytime I visit a store I always walk away with something. When I saw this dress, I knew it would be a great transition piece between Summer and Fall.   Monday certainly felt a lot better with my new dress. I paired the dress with my current favourite pumps and sipped on some macadamia cookie coffee and faced Monday feeling good.

Paisley Print

This is another post about my fabulous finds from TJMaxx. Yellow tag clearance was on while I was on my trip, so I snatched up as many cute things I could find. Unfortunately in Canada we don't have TJ Maxx, so whenever i'm in the US it's usually my first stop. I saw these short's and I thought they were really different and cute. A deceiving piece they are; they look like a skirt but are really shorts. I love turquoise and decided to pair them with this necklace I got awhile ago from H&M for only $2. I really love deals.  I also got these adorable Steve Madden sandals for $4.50. The grand total of this outfit was only $9.50. No one can complain about a $10 outfit! For a scorching September day this outfit was breezy and comfortable.

Last Days of Summer

September has rolled in and I am clinging to the last few days of summer we have left. The air is crisper, the kids are back in school, and pumpkin spice lattes are back. I recently was on vacation and came back with some amazing pieces I am excited to share with you. I tried to hang onto summer with today's outfit I wore to work.  I bought this maxi skirt at $2 for TJ Maxx and could not wait to style it. I wanted a dressy but work appropriate look, so I paired these together to achieve this.
