My Weight Loss Story

Today's post is something different than what I usually do.  I would like to share something personal today with my readers.  Health and Fitness is something that everyone is very conscience of nowadays. We are now realizing the risks and problems that can arise from lack of healthy nutrition and exercise. Today I would like to share with you my weight loss story.

From a young age I was always  overweight. I was active and danced competitively for hours each week, but I still never witnessed any weight loss. My eating habits were terrible. I remember drinking a whole two litre of soda to myself and not regretting it. I had an overeating problem, if someone offered me something I would automatically eat it. Once I remember eating a foot long sub from Subway and 3 McDonald's pies for dessert. I also was starting to suffer from high blood pressure. I continued living like this until about my third year of university.

During my third year in January, I started going to the university gym with a friend. For me it was more of a social thing, I really didn't care about working out, nor did I really know how to work out. Then one day I decided I liked walking about the treadmill and listening to music and then lifting a few weights. I decided that I would go to the gym every morning. I started feeling better about myself and looking better.

A Zumba class was held at the university and I fell in love. After quitting dancing after high school, I was finally able to dance again. Now I was doing zumba and my morning workouts. My best friend and I decided we loved zumba so much we joined a local gym. There I kick started my weight loss journey in full gear. I was exercising 5 days at week either by my own personal work out or by attending a group exercise class.  In terms of eating, I stopped eating junk food and snacking. Pop was eradicated completely from my diet.

While I am still working on my journey, I am proud to stay I have dropped from a size 14 to a size 0. In terms of pounds I have lost approximately 45 pounds maybe a little more or less. This journey is something I will be forever proud about. I know I still have a way to go to get my body to look exactly how I want, but I am a lot closer to that goal now.

Trend Alert: Emerald and Houndstooth

Finally after weeks of torturous weather, it was miracle! Temperatures today were well above zero and allowed me to finally take an outfit picture. This outfit was not worn today, but last weekend when I went for drinks with my friends. I was unable to take pictures that night but here they are now. I was recently sent this dress by http://tbdress.com and I love it. Houndstooth is a print I will always love. I love the asymmetrical hem on the dress. It is fun and different!  Every dress at TBDress is unique! I am also loving emerald this season. I see it's popped up on some Red Carpet's already and I am fully embracing the trend.

Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Spa Masque Review

Recently I was sent the Influenster Maple Vox Box. This was the first box Influenster had sent to their Canadian members, so I was excited to be chosen. This box was full of treats and goody's that I an't wait wait to share with you. Today's review is about Montagne Jeunesse Glacial Clay Spa Masque.

Montagne Jeunesse prides their brand as being;

  • a must have beauty essential that leaves the skin feeling great
  • a combination of crushed, pulped, juiced, natural goodness
  •  an ethical, caring brand against animal testing & Green
  • Making it second nature
  • an affordable weekly beauty essential
  • a loved and trusted number one beauty brand recognized by it's iconic packaging

When I opened the masque up I was surprised and happy to see it was a sheet mask. Sheet Masques are my favourite because they super easy and not as messy to apply.  I also loved the smell of this masque it wasn't strong but a very pleasant light smell. I followed the simple instructions on the back and was ready to enjoy my simple spa night.

After patiently waiting 15 minutes, I removed the masque and massaged the clay into my face. After washing it off I realized my face was very soft and felt very refreshed after wearing heavy make-up the past few days. I would recommend this product for the price you are paying for it.  You grab a Montagne Jeunesse Masque, some girlfriends, candles, and some treats and have your own spa night!

Relax, Enjoy and get your Montagne Jeunesse on!

Rocking Around the Christmas Tree

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the lack of posts. I have been able to do any outfit posts outside as I have been battling the elements. Everyday seems to have freezing cold temperatures, freezing rain and snow. Which presents a problem for my shoes, and clothing. I wore this outfit on Christmas Night for a celebration and dancing with friends. I bought this dress during my trip to Florida and loved the sequin front and the sexy peek a boo back as well. This aztec sequined print has been spotted on many bloggers recently.

Dress: Forever 21
