Last Days of Summer

September has rolled in and I am clinging to the last few days of summer we have left. The air is crisper, the kids are back in school, and pumpkin spice lattes are back. I recently was on vacation and came back with some amazing pieces I am excited to share with you. I tried to hang onto summer with today's outfit I wore to work.  I bought this maxi skirt at $2 for TJ Maxx and could not wait to style it. I wanted a dressy but work appropriate look, so I paired these together to achieve this.

Let Me Take a Celfie

Selfies are the biggest trend on social media right. Who hasn't checked their make-up, fluffed their hair and put on their biggest pout before taking one? I prefer the term celfie. When I saw this shirt on Thats Hearts youtube haul, I knew I needed to get this shirt on my next trip to H&M. If you follow me on instagram you may have noticed that I posted a celfie wearing this shirt. If would be impossible not to take a celfie in this shirt. I wore this look for my friends apartment warming party.

Leopard Maxi

I have finally jumped on the maxi dress bandwagon. Since maxis exploded in popularity, I was always too intimidated to wear a maxi dress. I thought I was too short and that it just didn't work with my body type. I found this maxi at H&M and something told me to "give it a try."  I tried it on and for once, I liked what I saw. I knew I needed it! It was perfect for that day at work where you wanted to look dressy but secretly feel comfy. Maxi dresses you are no longer on my black list! 

Here's a look at how I styled my maxi. It was just a tad too big, so paired it with a belt to make it a bit more fitted.

Denim on Denim

I have always wanted to try the denim on denim trend, I decided to take the plunge and make the "Canadian Tuxedo" alittle more stylish. Casual Friday at work, was the perfect day to try this. I paired the jeans with a neutral pump, my new Valentino Rockstar inspired pumps. The denim on denim trend has been spotted on celebrities like Kim Kardashian and many fashion bloggers. Now i'm happy to say I took the risk!

Birthday Girl's Wear Pink!

Hi Everyone,

Today's post features a outfit I wore for my 25th birthday celebrations! I had to celebrate my birthday a day earlier, because my birthday fell on a work day. I wore this outfit to my birthday lunch with my family where I had some great eats, and then had to choose from 3 yummy cakes my family bought for me.  For once, I actually feel like this birthday aged me. I do feel older for once on a birthday. When I saw this top I knew I needed to have it. I love the shade of pink and the cut of the shirt. I wanted to look dressy, but not over the top for my birthday lunch, so I feel like this was the perfect balance.

All Black Everything

Hi Everyone,

A trend I have been loving lately is mesh. Mesh has been spotted on the catwalks and celebrities this season. When I found this skirt I knew I needed to have it.  I've also been enjoying the minimalist look for a night out look. I wore this outfit for a night of drinks and dancing for my birthday weekend.  The best part of my outfit was the cost. The entire outfit was $35!
